1. Surf to the web page with the picture you want to save. 2. Move your mouse (or pointer) over the picture. 3. Then click once on the right mouse button. 4. When the shortcut menu pops up. Click on the Save Picture As... command. 5. When the Save Picture dialog box appears, choose the location (i.e., the drive and/or folder) and a file name. 6. Now click the Save button. And view the saved file to check it. |
1. Surf to the web page with the picture you want to make your Windows wallpaper. Or go to step 5. If the image is already in local storage. 2. Move your mouse (or pointer) over the picture. 3. Then click once on the right mouse button. 4. When the shortcut menu pops up. Click on the Set as Wallpaper command. 5. If the wallpaper does not look right. Move the mouse (or pointer) to an empty space on your Windows desktop. And click the left mouse button. 6. When the shortcut menu pops up, click on the Properties command. The Display Properties dialog box appears. The Background tab should already be selected. If not select it. 7. You can select a different image with the Browse... button. And change how the image is displayed with the Display: drop down listbox. Choose either Center, Tile, or Stretch. 8. Now click the OK button to see your changes. |

1. If the wallpaper does not look right. Move the mouse (or pointer) to an empty space on your Windows desktop. And click the right mouse button. 2. When the shortcut menu pops up, click on the Properties command. The Display Properties dialog box appears. The Background tab should already be selected. If not select it. 3. You can select a different image with the Browse... button. And change how the image is displayed with the Display: drop down listbox. Choose either Center, Tile, or Stretch. 4. 1. Surf to the website and/or webpage you want to add to your Favorites menu (or folder). 2. Move the mouse to the menu bar of Internet Explorer. Click on Favorites. Then the Add to Favorites... command. 3. The new "favorite" appears on your Favorites menu Keyboard Shortcut You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D. Hold down the Ctrl key. Then hit the letter D. This adds the current website or webpage to your Favorites menu. Also, works in Netscape Navigator.. |

1. Surf to the website and/or webpage you want to "bookmark." 2. Click the Bookmarks button to display the Bookmarks menu 3. From the menu, choose Add Bookmark to add a bookmark for the current page. The new bookmark appears at the bottom of the Bookmarks menu Note: You can also use the Ctrl+D keyboard shortcut. To bookmark a website or webpage. |
1. Surf to
your favorite search engine. E.g., Yahoo!, Netcenter, or AOL Search. 2. Move your mouse (or pointer) inside the search textbox. And click the (usually) left mouse button. 3. Then type the keyword or keywords you want the search engine to use in its query. E.g., "aikido." Or "aikido staten island." [Do not use double quotes or commas or periods in the search textbox.] 4. Now hit Enter or click the Search (or Go or Start) button next to the search textbox. After the search engine stops searching its database, a list of websites or webpages appears on a new webpage. Note: Separate search keywords with spaces. E.g., aikidostatenisland will not be understood by the search engine. "aikido staten island" will be understood. |

| How to Save a Video off the Web | ||||
| 1. Surf to
the website and webpage with the video clip you want to
save. Note: some websites/webpages will not allow you to save (or copy) their movie clips to your local storage area. Although their website will allow you to play their clip(s). 2. Move the mouse over the movie clip's link or thumbnail. Then click the right mouse button. 3. After the shortcut menu pops up, click the Save Target As... button. 4. From the Save As dialog box, select the folder you want to save the movie clip to. And type the file name you want to use for the movie clip. 5. Now click the Save button to save the movie clip. |
